- very nice! (according to a streaming video). I was probably way to sleepy for it when it was shown at the party...

- demo Windows John squidman eats magic squid sushi in space by Hullabaloo [web]
- some reactions:
nosfe: we managed to translate that :) of course it's not very surprising, i'm aware of your stylistic preferences. however, if everything goes well, we will be able to make a demo next that even you can enjoy :)
masterm: ever heard of such word as "deadline"?
preacher: i have no idea what the problem could be, it's standard opengl, doesn't even change the videomode... maybe the lack of vsync? (yeah, lame :) can you make a screenshot? x600 pro should be still much better than the gma 950 it was coded on :)
some general comments:
- this could easily be a 64k, basically everything is, or could be, generated (even if stored to shorten the loading time). This includes the only 3d object, as I haven't had any modeller software installed, since:
- it was coded on a virgin install of windows, free microsoft toolchain + platform sdk, that's all, folks...
- the rgb colorscheme is not what was originally intended, but i like it anyway :)
- the last thing i released was 3 years ago, and before that, ~8 years ago, so, while i'm not exactly satisfied with the result, i'm still happy that finally managed to release _something_. also, the situation didn't look like we will have a demo say, 24 hours before the deadline. especially that i survived the coding period on beers... thank you for watching. whatever. - isokadded on the 2007-04-17 16:26:49
