- demo Windows STS-05: Royal Temple Ball by Synesthetics
- I must say that I really like it. The intersection part between outside and the inside totally rocks :)
And I must prepare a poisounous pill for the coder because You prove me that I suck :) Deeply. - rulezadded on the 2007-07-02 22:46:21

- It seems that it crashes only on my config :P (P4 HT, GF7800 GTX, WinXP Pro). Anyways after watching video ... I must say that's the best use of GPU fluid simulation I've seen so far (everyone else is using pink colours for this effect?!?). Moreover I liked the overall design touch expressed in foregrounds and backgrounds. And the lighting rocks. I didn't like some weird animations (especially robot arm), which got boring after couple of seconds and that the scenes are not coherent. Thumb up from me.

- demo Windows Beyond the walls of Eryx by Andromeda Software Development [web]
- Excellent. There are so many neat ideas. The idea for greetings is really nice. I like the part when a girl is saying "... and this is what I've become". The blobby shape similar to football stadium reminds me of the last scenes from "Akira". This Intel competition is afterall a nice alternative to other compos. You can vote when you're thinking with 6% of your brain and not 0.06% :D. I'm waiting for the rest of demos

- kb_: I think the resemblance between this demo and loreal ad might be a coincidence. Not to many artists make their own fonts these days, they rather use standard sets. So when two artists will use the same fonts independently they overall look may be the same. Moreover - is the commercial advert market so interesting and inspiring? Also that bubble chocolate advert. The idea is so old and easy to implement that it's sad, that it's not allowed to use it anymore. Trust me that the chocolate advert is not the first that was using that effect. Last year on ICM I was showing the process of generating cloud shapes from 3d models of people faces. I assume that I'll need to bring a prove like timestamps or an eyewitness before releasing our next prod (furtunately iq and Navis was there :P but that's not the point). The real problem is that I start to think before using any simple ideas. I think that people will start to point out some similarities between our demo and ie "Debris" or this one. And in a worst case when you already have sth like 70% of your production and someone will release a demo with similar ideas to the one you haven't finished yet it means tha you must throw everything to a bin. Well it seems this way.
keops: your latest production which I like a lot reuses tons of already invented effects. It's easy to find similarities to some old productions from various platforms. But that's not the point. I think that you made what you really like and not because you like those effects in prod A, B and C. So I think it's time to finish this witch hunting process.
As for the prod: it works really nice on my PSP :), yeah the music ripping sucks, but it works prfectly with this prod. Try to get a permission from this babe rather than producing entirely new track :) - isokadded on the 2007-04-26 19:01:50
