- demo Amstrad CPC Ghost NOP by Pulpo Corrosivo & Futurs [web]
- Really cool! Wasn't aware of AMSCII and it works so well.
Also good use of the CPC palette for the raster effects! - rulezadded on the 2024-04-08 14:13:39
- 4k C16/116/plus4 Chromatic Destination by Resource [web]
- Pretty cool and I see the technical achievement but to be honest I prefer the previous versions esthetically and simply because they run much smoother.

How's that even possible
I'm planning to do a little write-up on the visual and audio part of this demo.
And also to clean up the source code for the individual parts, as right now some of the code (included in the zip) is already minified and probably not very helpful to look at.
But before that we'd like to concentrate on a final version which also contains the end-part which we had to skip last minute before the deadline and made us improvise heavily on the ending...
However, what really helped us a lot create this was:
- Adapting Rocket (thanks Kusma and Emoon) to work with the Pico8 serial port. So we could store all sync stuff in cart data and didn't have to code everything manually, saving us a lot of code tokens.
- Using the not-very-documented PCM channel (running at 8bit mono 5.5kHz) to mix 4 lo-fi channels (basically a 4chn Amiga MOD) in addition to the Pico8 sounds.
And as I was too lazy to provide proper tools, Virgill had to work in two trackers simulteanously to create the soundtrack...
- Still remembering bit-fiddling tricks from the 90s which are otherwise totally useless today but still work pretty well to process many 4bit pixels in parallel.
Also thanks to the team, you are all awesome. - isokadded on the 2024-04-07 16:40:47
- demo Windows JavaScript Asura by mfx [web]
- I dig the particle/flow effects, the music reminds me of Interstellar and fits perfectly. The whole experience worked best for me at the party, though. The rewatch value is somehow smaller, can't really tell why.

- demo Windows Rainmaker by Byterapers [web] & Doomsday
- Good to see a Doomsday demo again!
Loved the effects, only the city didn't really work for me. - rulezadded on the 2024-04-05 14:10:52
- 4k procedural graphics Linux Windows MacOSX Intel Felid by Speckdrumm [web]
- That's a nice picture but the tech behind is equally interesting.
I'm wondering how much size-benefit this approach has opposed to a crinklered exe...
And anyone working on a WebGL-4Klang yet? ;) - rulezadded on the 2024-04-05 13:54:33
