• Renoise is better, at least for me. But unlike Renoise, it will run with several VSTs going at once on my limited little laptop. I think OpenMPT (as it is now) has to be taken for what it is, instead of as a direct competitor for Renoise or Milkytracker, both of which I also use. Thumb because I find it somewhat useful.

• First SoundTracker. Then Protracker. Then OctaMED. Then.. Ft2. And even when I'd reopen tunes into IT to add some filter effects or whatever, I still did most of the real work in FT2. Everything I did before it was just screwing around. Thank you, Triton.

• this'd get a thumb just for Gasman's outstanding version of Paranoid Android by Radiohead, but overall it's just great chippy fun. the interface though... i know what it's based on, but it's still a bit rough. still - definitely thumb!

• Looked nice, slightly familiar feel to the effects aside, but the music.. Well, I know the synth was apparently tricky to work with, but the results just didn't do it for me, so piggy it is. Sorry Gargaj. :)

• i was never as impressed by this demo as some others have been... but that's nitpicking. this is a really fantastic piece of work. the shot where the cube starts to break up is one of my top demo moments of all time.

• love love LOVE this tracker - closest thing to winFT that I've ever seen. I use VST-compatible quasi-trackers (modplug, renoise) for a lot of stuff but I was really missing a good, fast basic tracker for chiptunes and simpler stuff.. this nails it!
