• Oh yeah, the 1998 part contains a pixel shader that converts the video to c64 palette. It's not too obvious, but will be in the final. It's also very inefficient, and runs all the time... some optimising to be done there :)

• The file on the breakpoint ftp contains the video, and a pre-release version of the disk (there's not much changed, just slightly altered text in the overlays). I've requested that the party version of the binaries are added to the ftp, and also requested an untergrund account, so I recommend a little patience if you don't want a 270mb download :)
  
  Manwe: what video card do you have? and does 1998 work OK? I'm trying to figure out which parts break it on intel cards.
  
  Oh, and if you get a nasty clicking in the audio, quit the app and relaunch.. it's a bug I found, and will fix.

• I got glitchy lighting here (particularly noticable on the blimp), with radeon 2600/latest drivers.
  
  Otherwise, great stuff. Some really good ideas, and dvs' graf and keito's tune were both awesomely good.
