• Freaking kickass music (metal), and very good use of effects. Nothing breathtakingly new, just extremely good use of effects in a new way. The tunnel, in particular, owns all previous tunnels because, of course, it's a freaking tunnel in 3d. And the way it's introduced is freaking brilliant.

  Anyway. On the bigscreen there were times when I wanted to stand up and move to another part of the room to see what it looked like from there. At one point, there was a dark spot just above my head that prevented me from seeing above it. My mouth was open from about 3 seconds into this demo until the end. Absolutely what the party was meant to have - demos that used 3d. Not the best 3d demo ever, that'll come in future, but the one that caused people at the party to go 'fucking hell yes, that's what I came for.'

I remember talking to the coder on IRC once - I mentioned that no one would ever use NTSC because of the crappy limitations, having lived with them for so long and finally being able to use PAL - and he pointed out that going to NTSC gave you advantages in bits like that. And I was floored, cuz, I mean. I'd always seen it as a limitation, not anything beyond that... So, just for that alone, this rulez (:
