- demo Windows Dissonance by Metagon
- I was watching half-way through and I wondered "hey where have I seen this before". Then - Notch.
I don't know how much of it is pre-existing notch effects and how much is new. Seems older recycled stuff but may be very wrong. - isokadded on the 2018-07-16 17:18:22
- demo Windows Metamorphosis by Andromeda Software Development [web]
- Hey thank you for this. If I have 20 mins to show to a newbie "our demos", I always choose first a big 3d (fairly modern like Monolith) and then these two, as I am -generally speaking- very happy about how they turned out.

- Your production is very inspirational to us as a guide for colorgrading and postprocessing (on top of the "world famous" sound synthesis, shading, geometry composition and further detailing).

- demo Windows block one by Fairlight [web] & Cocoon [web]
- I thought as much, maybe a growing number of demoscene productions will be based on notch from now on.
At the same time I guess that the new "Fairlight" productions (featuring new "plugins" made by smash, just for the production) will have new "effects" and a more low-level involvement (which always shows and is appreciated). - isokadded on the 2018-04-03 16:13:24
- demo Windows Wander by Carillon & Cyberiad [web] & Fairlight [web]
- Great, my favorite of the compo. The last scene is breathtaking!

- demo Windows block one by Fairlight [web] & Cocoon [web]
- Cool production, my only issue really is the very heavy use of postprocessing which, sometimes, makes it impossible to appreciate what is going on.
How did you work together for this? (Fairlight + Cocoon?) - rulezadded on the 2018-04-03 15:47:18
- demo Windows Dark demon by Andromeda Software Development [web] & Spöntz [web] & Nocturns
- Hm, the demo is definitely a x64 executable, and the image sequence definitely a jpg one :-)
Of course it is very easy to make it win32 if I want to, in fact I don't remember the exact reason why it isn't but there must be one.. - isokadded on the 2018-02-12 12:35:26
- demo Windows Dark demon by Andromeda Software Development [web] & Spöntz [web] & Nocturns
- I... what? can you elaborate on that win32/x64 thing please?
The inspiration (and reason why this demo is so large) was to make something running on a single shader for all movement of all particles in the entire demo, using a function of time, curly noise and a sequence of raw images (stored as pngs, they take up some space). - isokadded on the 2018-02-08 17:03:35

- Some words about this demo:
We started work in November, after agreeing with Merlucin to do something together for once. The music style changed a few times but the visuals came first. It does feel like it is in a hurry and that is my fault as I set a goal of under 3 minutes when I believed that there is very little content for an extra minute (that is never the case - once you have the main ingredients of the demo, only then you can decide how long it is going to be).
The demo has 2 parts, ABA - the B starts with the buddha. With hindsight, I should have expanded on that part a bit more with more static cameras.
Nevertheless, I'm happy that people seem to like it; it was the kind of demo I wanted to do for a long time. Maybe next time do the music first!
