• the only competitor is PackFire "large" model, that is also using arithmetic coding. PackFire is LZMA based and well suited for 64KiB intros. STrinkler is better around 4KiB just because the depacking code is way smaller than PackFire. Depacking speed is also faster compared to PackFire ( one MUL per range coding instead of two )
  To sum up:
  - around 4KiB, STrinkler is often better both in size and depacking speed
  - around maybe 16KiB or greater PackFire may be better in size ( but not in depacking speed )
