The demo uses a FPGA based video hardware modification (ultraBooST) for the Atari 1040 STE created by us.
The hardware is able to create new screen modes with up to 3 layers each 256 colors out of 16,78mio colors, chunky modes, helps out the 68k with 3d math and flat poly filling/line drawing and in the end all is outputted to HDMI.
Of course the demo will not run on a standard Atari STE.
To watch the demo at your home we created a special version of Steem (Windows only) which is able to emulate all ultraBooST hardware features... A 68k library is included too if you want to do something with it.
