- demo MS-Dos/gus Protocode 0x28 by Byterapers [web]
- I love that this is so smooth (I assume the vidcap is indeed rendered on a PMMX 200MHz); many software rendered demos are far from 60 Hz. Lots of content as well, and good style (I love the dither-zoom-fades). The file size worries me a bit with regards to animations. :-)

- demo Windows Because We ADAPT by Adapt [web]
- So much went wrong during this demo. :-) Stock animations put in the middle of nowhere, ugly lightning both outdoors and (at places) indoors, and objects that randomly clip through other objects. It's puzzling to see a demo which focuses so much on objects interacting (like the hand holding the pyramid), while… they don't interact in any satisfying way at all. Like,a giant knocks a huge bowling ball with its knee and it just brakes into the pins and they go gently to rest, or the converse: A giant boulder clips into a running giant several frames before anything happens to that giant (which seems to be a weird teleportation-like thing in the end?). It comes off like a Notch tech demo somehow, but doesn't really work anywhere since it seems so reliant on faked physics where nothing feels like it has any weight.
I'd thumb it down, but the music is OK and there clearly was a fair amount of work involved here. - isokadded on the 2026-08-08 14:15:03
- demo Windows Before Zero by Byterapers [web]
- Worthy winner! Obviously I can't thumb-up based on the engine alone, but this goes a long towards using Notch for something, and the flow and direction is good. Music, too.

- demo JavaScript DEMONSCENE by Gray Marchers [web]
- This is great stuff, and the file size makes it even cooler; it becomes so much more interesting when the raymarching isn't only fractal caves but you also get actual characters on top. It seems to run out of content and becomes very repetitive around the half-way mark, though.

- demo Windows Le Réseau Mort by Jumalauta [web]
- (Also, this is a top-3 from this year's Assembly for me)

- demo Windows Le Réseau Mort by Jumalauta [web]
- A Jumalauta demo I like! The French works really well with the message—I'm not as huge of a fan of the second part, but it's a streamkiller and that would be worth a thumb in itself.

- Very nice! What is the typical code density of this platform compared to the more common 16-bit x86?

- demo Amiga AGA Game On AGA
- It's seemingly waiting in /incoming for moderation, but yes, publishing on Pouët before you have a file isn't really a good idea (and Pouët shouldn't allow people to add links that don't return HTTP 200 and an archive).

- 4k Windows Circle Packing by NuSan
- I saw this on the stream and while it was cool, it pretty quickly became obvious (to me, anyway :-) ) what the algorithm was doing, and then it just was too long to stay interesting for me. Still a thumb for the amount of content, though.
