where is the block ascii scene

where is the block ascii scene?
like... well, you know... ACiD, etc.
no idea why everyone has gone over to amiga ascii. :'(
and why has acid.org reverted to the really old site? (not that I haven't noticed, it's been like that for a few years :P )

Block/ANSI is a DOS thing really, I think it died along with it. Amiga is alive and well _\|/_ look ok on a variety of platforms/fonts.

What little gets released you can find on http://sixteencolors.net/pack
You could revive some of it by making a TMDC demo!

It's still out there somewhere, but you just need to look closer.

what zefyros said.
the ansi scene is getting active again, and that's pretty amazing.
the blocktronics webpage is all freshly updated and brand new, and these guys seriously are motivated. the only ridiculous point being their fellowship bullshit, which seriously sucks. but that's another topic.
sixteencolors gets updated as well, and the little community around the site is well established.
there's this facebook group too, which is full of <3 peeps: https://www.facebook.com/groups/254577004687053/
go have a look at #ascii, #ans, #ansi on EFNet. #ascii on IRCNet is full of gentle peeps as well.
i'm the only "active" guy in titan for the moment, moqui and malodix are full of awesomeness, they let their art idle in some place of their head for some further madness.

oasiz: LMAO those are great. Real oldskool style.
Ahh, the good old days! I still have an ANSI art from an online friend from early 1990s/90s. ;)

That's not an online viewer, though - remember, AntDude is too afraid to run real demoscene software on his computer (it's full of viruses all the time!) apart from a web browser that can view demos on YouTube. ;)
Is he? I always thought he has just an ancient machine

Soso after watching it on YouTube.

I had to watch it on YouTube due to anti-malware programs being suspicious and I didn't want to task the risk. The file didn't even have a Windows icon. :P

ny2010.exe seems to be trojaned by many malware scanners:

Also, I watched this on YouTube since multiple anti-malware scanners detected possible infections. I didn't want to take the risk.

Are there malwares in this cracktro?

The list could go on... ;)
:D
VIRUSSES EVERYWHERE!

IT HAS NO ICON; THAT MEANS IT HAS TO BE EVIL!

well, most av programs detect demos etc because they have been super-crunched by kkrunchy or some other packer that's done some strange voodoo to the pe layout
