I'd like to get back my 256b intros to which I've lost the source and the binary :/

Long story short, 256b.com "died" because the domain name and hosting were handled by two different persons. It worked somehow for a couple of years but eventually confusion, delays and domain name squatters ensued and voilà.

FWIW I always wanted to "expand" 256b.com up to 4kb and have tutorials, postmortems, ... A bit like a mix between DisplayHack and IntroInferno but for byte-tros with the prods hosted there.

Actually, no.
I just found a backup of www.256b.com from September 2006 that includes the SQL queries to rebuild the database.

FWIW it's a 2.8mb RAR archive of 2000-ish era SQL, PHP code and the intros.

These days I just don't have the time to rebuild & maintain something like this. So, if anyone is interested, mathieu+256b@p01.org

256b.com had a bunch of those. Also it was mostly PC (MSDOS) prods but there was a couple of prods for c64 and a few other platforms too
