These riots would've been stopped in a single night in other countries...

http://www.guardian.co.uk/uk/2011/aug/10/uk-riots-iran-un-mahmoud-ahmadinejad
Excerpt: He accused the UK authorities of portraying its opposition as a group of "looters, rioters and drug dealers", adding: "Does Britain have this extent of drug dealers? If this is the case, they should be tried and UN should build walls surrounding their country."

Ahmadinejad said British officials should stop meddling in other people's affairs and instead worry about their own. "Instead of interfering in others' affairs in Afghanistan, Iraq and attacking Libya, they should deal with their own people.

He who diggeth a pit shall fall therein (Proverbs 26.27).

Damn right!!

And it's not just these rioters that terrorize the British people; there are way too many rapists, paedophiles and murderers free in society, even those who have been convicted over 10 times for previous violent crimes and are a known danger to the people.

I've been held at knife point, attacked with a bottle and been threatened by various violent people, all white and English. I have never been attacked or threatened by anyone living in Iraq or Afghanistan.

"Terrified shoppers watched as an armed officer held a gun over the head of a 15-year-old boy in a Manchester high street, just days after Britain's riots"

They found cheese-cakes and Smarties and a (legal) kids BB gun in their racksacks.

Again one slight difference: you would probably not troll on pouet if you were living in Iran!

what would you do if you couldnt get a job or an education after having watched your parents pay their taxes for years on end?

ps: education is free, and leads to jobs (which are available here if you're prepared to work and don't expect to start at senior management level), and in many cases their parents have been collecting state money instead of paying taxes.

But yeah, if what you said was true, damn right they should be angry ;)

I think it's a generational thing - I DON'T think a lot of the "kids" who partook in the riots came from a home where both parents worked and paid taxes - rather kids who have grown up in a welfare state whose parents grew up in a similar welfare state.

“How should we describe the actions of the city bankers who brought our economy to its knees in 2010? Altruistic? Mindful? Kind? But then again, they do wear suits, so they deserve to be bailed out, perhaps that’s why not one of them has been imprisoned. And they got away with a lot more than a few fucking pairs of trainers.”
