no, they explained this new voting system: Most people either gave a video 5 stars or 1 star - so they changed it into this new "thumbs up / thumbs down" system...

Oh, come on now. I understand about statistical bias and skewed polls, but even on Youtube people aren't that stupid. They'll decide which button to click based on - gasp! - whether they like the video or not, not on which button is bigger and shinier. And even if they are that stupid - well, it's not as if they're voting for President of Youtube or something.
