Anyway, retired_plek retired
It's long time that demo scene spirit is dead. Just look all those idiots running for drawing the more complex boring 3d scene like sheeps on a wave.

Thanks God, some names like Razor1911 sounds in our head like remember it was a time computing was fun and joy :D

yeah, you are dam so right.
All you need is a chiptune, a scroller and some starfields.
So true ! Commando chip tune, color-blinked text scroll with bullshits like weather in sweden and parties around and it makes my day :D

I think that if you really think about what I said, you may find an analogy within the pattern: it's always the same, there are periods, they are styles and newschoolers often become oldschoolers who will argue how better it was.
@ knl : you are probably right but it's not only the computing and demo scene that changed, it's the whole society which sucks today :D

capitalism killed the scene :D

I think it's actually very wrong. The society always have been what it is, it was even worst during the middle-age. People just grow up.

Let's all hug.
It was a time we used to DREAM when we were watching raster lines, reading text scrolls, distorded pictures, logos and things ...

Where is the DREAM now ?? What team can pretend making the sceners dream with their prods ? Hmm ???

All we see is always the same boring 3d effects (when it runs ! or when it finds the right gfx DLL !!)

No scroll text, no story, no life, no dream ... no Humanity !!

Thats the new scene :(

let's put it this way - stupidity has always been constant, it's just that the consequences got more severe over time.

No, he is the kind of guy that was drolling over a single gouraud shaded spinning cube back in '93, but is complaining about "boring 3d effects" today.

Instead of criticizing the all-time real names of the scene, first ask yourself how you discovered demo scene ? Maybe due to a crackro in a game that you did NOT pay ?!! Piracy is a CRIME %-)

rove had a scroll text, although it was postmodern in the sense that it was going vertically.
