I'm not sure, if these numbers are correct.. a food expenditure of 375 Euros for one week and four persons (see germany) is unbelievable. my family (3 persons) get along with 50-100 Euros (also germany)

Well, the food they've laid out is supposedly what they go through in a week, and what costs €375. I doubt you could get all that for €100. Also seems pretty normal for a middle-class family. So I guess you're poor. Could be worse though. ;)

doom: you forgot that food costs double as much in denmark than what it costs in germany. additionally, in germany *everybody* lives nearby an aldi or lidl. additionally, in germany aldi and lidl are actually cheap. i'm pretty sure that a normal german family with a freezer can do for 100e per week without having to jump through loops.

I ain't agree. Seriously, buying for 300bucks of food a week is fucking big. You can eat way enough and as much as you want for that price for one month.
