not only commenting prods

I like this idea too.
But for prods, groups and parties only. Users...no :)

Get out of that "i like/i don't like" binary system.
I almost like some of this...
Damn, production notes ! that is a neat idea, for sure ... ( as for the credits, i think it could fit in prod. notes )
But this feature truely has to be secure, to prevent any misbehaviours ...
One thing is : maybe allow ONLY the people of the group responsible for the prod ... Should do the trick, as you should already have all POUET demogroup listed in a separate table ( you can even have a full MEMBER list, with this thing ... you just have to add a little GROUP field on each account, where people can update their group, a bit like on Ojuice.net ) ... then problem may arouse with multiple-groups persons ... but still .... :)

the commenting users part was actually not meant completely serious - but maybe it might put some release on the bbs. :)
Some good ideas indeed in this thread, but I think commenting users is a bad thing.
One thing for allowing only group members edit the production notes, might be making one user the "owner" of the group who must approve other members (maybe for new groups this could be the one who adds the group?). This way not everyone could "join" a group like in Ojuice.

I'd love to see a "user X was involved in prod Y" feature :)
Or just the let Glo:perators handle it. No need for a whole bunch of extra sql code when you have folks in a trusted advisory role in the first place, peeps who are clued in the first place.
Somone could post additional info, and if it's wrong, they plog them. Or whatever unglopping is.

WTF -> check the abyss-memberlist on ojuice: http://ojuice.net/nicklist.htm?idgroup=2976
oh the joy of having a group name at the beginning of the drop-down-box.

Before anyone lamely insists otherwise, those US peeps weren't even in the c64 Abyss based in the states.
dunno if that has been proposed already, but what about an option for the users to add themselves to the credits of either prod?
i imagine this would be quite tough to do and prolly some people abuse this system too .. but i think it'd be quite an interesting thing.

hehe, you get shane adding himself to all trsi prods :D
Dal: As pointed out by Spin, OJ is full of users who have added themselves to groups they don't belong to. Since OJ staff is busy, having them removed is a rather long process.
So myabe there should be some kind of verification system. Dipswitch or something like that :P

dalezy: dunno about the "themselves" part - but yeah that's what i proposed above basically ;)
