category: general [glöplog]

BB Image

While going through the crates I've stumbled across a few items that are not part of the Nordlicht equipment, see photo:

- A digital pixel chalkboard
- a 65w multi-USB charger with long cable
- a mobile phone
- a file storage device
- headphones

if you miss any of these items and can proof they're yours, please don't hesitate to contact me. If you can proof any of these are yours, I'll happily ship it out to you within the next couple days / weeks.

Releases are still lost. Did you happen to find those? :)

They are stored safe and sound on the compo pc, but will probably require quite a bit of renaming and zipping to match scene.org naming conventions. Either that or I could simply not bother and upload them "as is". Just didn't have a quiet moment yet to think about what to do.

Aren't scene.org naming conventions basically a folder structure with .zip files inside the folders, and a results.txt next to it?

v3nom: yes and no, needs some minimal special characters sanitation, double checking for videos or other temporary files that shouldnt be part of the actual release but were useful during party screening, making sure all files have proper identifying filenames (especially on photo compos where everyone uploads a DSC_1258.JPG), checking if the release is actually zipped and not just a directory full of files, preparing the directory structure to match a bit what scene.org usually uses. and chances are still high you'll manage to miss a spot (like a release that was played from another machine and the binaries never reached the compo machine or that a specific event was not listed on the results.txt) and anger the gargaj :D

official link is official: https://files.scene.org/faq/#uploading

still +1 protip to always consider doing it before the party teardown happens (preferably as soon as compos are done would be my suggestion) to avoid suffering through the barrage of "are we there yet" questions coming from multiple people during the following week(s).

but i also completely understand when organizers prioritize getting their sleep hours back right after organizing the event :D

We're a bit puzzled nobody has asked about the Samsung smartphone yet. Seems to me to be a rather too important device for it to be missing for so long.

We figured out the sim card's phone number (I'm not going to post it here, in parts, just yet), the sim is ready to receive calls from now on, so if you miss your phone try calling it, please!!

Now the phone and charger have returned to their rightful owners, too. The only item left with unknown origin is the digital pixel whiteboard thing.

Cool, so when that one reached its rightful owner, we can finally have the party releases as well? :)
What's on the portable storage device?
@hot multimedia

Ah, forgot about that one. Yes, the store.it is still here, too. However, unlike the name suggests it's not actually a portable storage device. It's just a regular powerbank. Hence no files on it, but left me headscratching for a tiny moment XD Since it was found in the orgadesk area, I'd assume it's from one of our team members.

@Saga Musix

Until we've verified that the files on the Compo PC are indeed the files that can be uploaded (meaning the files that were actually shown in the compos), we'll have to wait. For that I need feedback from the orga that currently holds the Partymeister PC. So, very soon-ish!
