comment obligatory?

What about making an obligatory comment-field when submitting prods? I mean, when people submit prods just for the glöps, and don't bother to add a screenshot nor a small comment, noone knows what it is, and noone will download it, except when it's by a well-know group.
I'd prefer a required screenshot over a required comment. Better to see it than to read someone's opinion you might disagree with after you watch it. :) But I'll support whoever wants to comment everything they add (as long as it's not just "this demo rulez" or "this demo sucks").
It's not always possible to make a screenshot, and it's often a real hassle. Maybe I should have written "brief description" or something... Just so you have a bearing of what the prod is...
And while we're at it: Why aren't there glöps for screenshots? They're often a pain in the ass to take as I mentioned a few lines up (atleast from old DOS-demos)... Could've been 3glöps for submission, 1glöp for screenshot...

yes, i am agree with Fractalgp, 3 glops for submit a prod and 1 glop for screenshot and 1 extra glop for .NFO
because screenshot is hard to take and .nfo need you to unzip the prod and see it, and read the .nfo before submission if it is useful
but sometimes, we cant add a screenshot, so try to put a good comment is not so bad i think

I don't think it should be obligatory. Submitting prods is maybe the hardest task, it's defintelly not happening for the blogs and even if it is, it's mainly beneficial for the community. The easiest way to receive a blog is to comment on a prod. Now this one wouldn't give much to the scene if you add "this sucks", "this rules" or " " just to get the glop. Everything else is a hard work that deserves the glop. Though, I agree there should be a glop for the screenshots. Hey, I think there is already one!
There are some atari demopacks for example from 1 to 158, and someone wants to make the archive more full by adding one after the other. What should he write in the commments for 158 packs? This is pack 1, this is pack 2, this is pack 3? It would take a long time to actually watch these packs and maybe he will be frustrated by the obligation and add 5 of them and then quit. Now, the archive can be filled by all these missing prods preety fast. I like to have those packs there in the db.

Well we already got to the point that people add blank screenshots and .nfo-s for glops knowing that the gloperators will fix it anyway...
Well, I think we should be offered the POSSIBILITY (read: not obligatory) for commenting the prods, we submit - it's really lame to have to give your own prod thumbs og piggies because you feel a comment is in place....
Perhaps more glöps should be given for BBS postings. Just take a look at some of the most prolific writers in this BBS, and how few glöps some of them have.
What about glöps for posting random images, then we would have some people with a million glöps already.
