Outline 2006 - June 2-5 - Zevenaar NL
category: general [glöplog]
**double newsflash!** (also, bump.)
1) The Outline 2006 competitions are announced! We've, naturally, compos for atari, amiga, c64 and pc/mac as well as a very open mind for any other platform you might think of! On a sidenote, we do accept mail-in submission but of course you'd better just attend!
2) If you want to be certain of a fresh and comfortable bed, be sure to reserve a ticket asap! That's right, a bed right at the party location, included in the price. We'll hopefully manage to arrange sleeping places for most if not all attendants but cannot guarantee anything if you do not prepay your tickets. As a bonus, you even pay 10 euros less than at the door!

Also, the slight problem with flags not popping up in the registration was adressed. Poles and Brits, you are now proudly represented :)

Keep the crap in the compo as long as you can!!!Music compos
* If we really get too many entries, we may decide to apply preselection. In that case, first the entries from people who didn’t buy a ticket (i.e. who are not present) will be taken out, followed by the utterly boring ones.
GBA invite released, traditionally late!
discussion has taken place as to whether Lemon PUNKTUM is back, or if you ran into them in some bar somewhere and axed them if you could borrow a cup of sugar, or just what the heck.
People also happen to work in the same workplace (generally coal mines or shoes factories).

hum. worth a shot, or...?
jeenio,
Yes, that rule is indeed in our compo rules. But in all honesty, I would be very surprised if we would be forced to make use of it. We would need at least triple the amount of entries we've had in previous years, and we'll hardly have double the amount of visitors. So there is definitely space for some external entries, and we will definitely do our best to have them played.
As an example: Back in 1999, when we organised PMP party, I accidentally left Dma-SC's chiptune (which he had entered via e-mail) on a harddisk in my flat in Venlo. When we found out about this at the partyplace in Utrecht, me and D-Force drove 150km back to Venlo, picked up the chiptune, and drove 150km back. Just to have it in the compo.
So please let it be clear that we most definitely do appreciate entries from non-visiting sceners, and that we will do anything humanly possible to have them properly (dis)played in our compos. If, for any reason, we are unable to play a certain entry, we will treat it with all due respect. We will never release anyone's work without having played it in our compos, or without their written instruction to release an entry despite (the rather unlikely event of) disqualification.

ye-ti, they made another invtro for Outline 2006 with you, what else?!
any idea of the date/time for intro compo deadline? i'm working on an email submission and trying to balance exam revision and demo haxxoring time.
havoc: hey, nothing was more hilarious than to see facet and sosa communicate about the graphics :)
parapete: schedule is due in this weekend, but feel free to send a line to outline2006@scene.nl so the organizers can talk turkey with you.
but expect the demo and intro deadlines somewhere early sunday.
however, for email submissions we strongly advise you to get it to us earlier, because we may have sucky intarweb and maybe you're not online when we are, so if your stuff is broken on our compomachine, getting it fixed may take more time.

in the meantime, people are HIGHLY encouraged to check out the updated travel information. Due to extensive long term roadworks in the village of Babberich, we were forced to change the routeplan for Outline 2006. This mainly affects visitors travelling through or from Germany.
hm, shit happens, noone is going from cologne surroundings by car apparently. and since i can't afford trainticket AND entrancefee right now, i have to stay home. :[
too bad we decided to drop this party because of dip.. oh well! shit happens!
