I need one of those, actually.
However I do have a slight issue with them in that they do not have a good spot for the pointed-stick.
Before going on about how pointed-sticks are teh suck, let's remember it's MY keyboard we're talking about here, and I WANNA POIN-TED STICK.

you mean one of the small joysticks usually found on stinkpads from IBM? if so, perfect time for a ghettomod :))
Yes. That's a poin-ted stick.
And if I'm paying over 100 monetary units for a keyboard, it better have a freaking poin-ted stick on it out of the box. Ghetto mod is for 10 monetary unit things. 100? You can just put me that f'n poin-ted stick on it right now, thank you very much.

i was thinking about buying one.. then i realized they didnt have any version with laptop keys :/
ok err.. why is this good again? :D
wow, that's horribly expensive
Just make sure i have an american keyboard layout and i'm set! (yes i do pity the french! :)
I find my powerbook keyboard is about the best i've used. If only it had a numeric keypad and symbols in normal positions, it would be perfect.
best keyboard for coding is:

I still dream of the IBM 286 (?) keyboard I had as a kid. The clicky sound it made, combined with the touch, was perfect.
if this is a keyboard for coders, i guess the following would be one for for musicians?
Preacher:
check this keyboard
it has *exactly* the same feeling/sounds as the IBM you are talking about if you want it again... just so you know :)

that's the real thing \o/
yes its a bit expensive.. but you can repair it with new parts along the way.. it's self-servicable.. as long as you don't break the actual plastic holding the keyboard together.. so i guess in a multiple year perspective it's not so expensive... i used a few boards before until they broke.. and the space key on my keytronic board at work is about to break..
all you need is this
Oh hey:
The keys of the coder next to me. Lucky girl :)

I cannot use this right now because I don't have a dekstop PC, and my laptop doesn't have a PS2 port. But it is quite lovely - heavy as an evil year, and lovely to push.
2xlovely in one sentence, lovely.
since the topic already offline.. lets make this to:
SHOW YOUR KEYBOARD!!
SHOW YOUR KEYBOARD!!
Gargaj: It's to prevent me from losing the ability to type. Splitting the hand like that works. I know, odd. But it does.
I could use a Nukrosoft Natural Keyboard too, but they tend to be just as much in Europe. I have NO idea why. In the states I could buy them for like 20 bucks. I do have some I need to ship here.
Yes shipping things here is a good idea. I should do that.

and here's one for the ladies:
Nice
Hear fucking hear. Kinesis rules.
Anyone who's gotten to _crippling_ repetitive stress injury can appreciate the kinesis keyboards. There are a LOT of great things about this keyboard that are only obvious once you have had wrists damaged so bad that you couldn't drive your car, open doorknobs or lift a cup of coffee with one hand. I've been that bad. In short, the keyboard minimises the force put on your wrists by typing by practically nailing them in place, then making it easy for you to reach and push every button without ever having to move your wrist. Everyone out there hit ctrl-c ctrl-v and tell me if you kept your wrist straight.
In the windows division, there are many, many coders with these keyboards. What's really nice is that they're covered by our ergo budget.
The only downside of the kinesis keyboard is the arrow button placement.
Pair this keyboard with a mouse like this
