I once belived in anarchy, but i dont anymore. Because in the real world what happens is, when there are no clear rules all the shitheads take up all the picture.

Especially on the internet, where shitheads can smell an unmoderated board fom miles away, and then infect it like a virus. This is happening to Pouet.

When i joined a few months back the tune sung on pouet was really different, but it skydived since then because of shitheads who post gaypr0n. And basically has nothing but shit to add to the debate.

I still concider demos an artform, and pouet has untill resently been a good place to meet equally minded, but you people are getting harder to spot in between the shitheads.

Yesterday baroc/silents left, because he obviously had it with the turn pouet is taking. Thats a shame, because have been with the scene for a long time, and since a long way back.

so if guys like him start to leave, or become inactive in the demo debate on pouet, who will start to take over the picture? ...yes sir...the shitheads, so the question is: do we want that to happen.

Or should pouet concider to limit the freedom of speech, to maintain a certain quality level?

Let's face it: Pouet is a big demoscene playground for flames, idiotic remarks and.... whining. :)
(it could be more, but not in its current form)

before pouët, one could have the illusion the scene was a very special place.

after pouët, one realize the same proportion of assholes and people you don't want to talk to or hear about exist in the scene than in society in its large.

for starters, who the HELL are you to call us happy flamers 'shitheads'. you're probably the only one to feel bad about that 'stuck in the oldschool' ignorant barock leaving us in peace. he promoted shitty releases. what would you expect? right, flaming.

the truth is that the people who make most fuzz about pouet being a playground for offensive flaming (which is good fun every once in a while) are mostly people who are, nowadays or since their birth, inactive or talentless losers. i think the S!P people like "[NuKE]" and ofcourse dear Reebok are perfect examples of talentless fuckheads who whine about getting flamed.

The big difference between a scene and an ordinary community is that on a scene theres competition.

Flaming people who sucks but pretends being very good is very obvious, its like this:

A guy on the footballplane stands and does 10kickups and then runs to a guy in the opponent team and says "damn iam best in the world and iam gonna play in Barcelona next year since iam so fucking good!!" the guy he ran up to get tired of him and does 100 kickups and tells him to get the fuck out of there...

same thing here, just replace the ball with polygons/pixels/dezin whatever :)

being very heavily against gays is usually an indication of being in denial, and therefore strongly rejecting the very idea of gayness, hoping that strong enough rejection in time will make ones own gayness disappear. Sadly this usually turns people into very angry and bitter sodomists, so if this is what is happening here it IS better to come out of the closet!
