cool,
I actually knew that, pan told me before.
good stuff though, wish there was more of a community here in canada for it :/
How cool would it be to have demo parties that weren't 1000s miles away? hehe
montreal's only about 8-10 hours away, I'll be right over ;)

Congratulations ps, you've just shown more knowledge of the north american scene than most north americans have. :)

Anyway, I think there are several sceners in the London, Ontario area.. my old group Kosmic's coder, Gooroo, lives there (or lived, at least). There's some thread on www.naid.net/phpBB2 about London and Toronto people.

BTW assuming isn't good, I know that that Coma comes to montreal.
a little far away from where I live, canada isn't exactly a 100 mile radius, I'm a student, can't really afford to travel 10 hours to get to montreal..
also, why do you think i'm posting here, to see if people come to pouet who live around me.

also..
*montreal's only about 8-10 hours away, I'll be right over* was said with much sarcasm. ~ may be that was just misinterpreted.

10 hour travels are a snack and a quarter of a book.
or the batteries of a cdplayer whatever comes first.

Not when you have a job to maintain, and school to go to :)
But yeah if you have no obligations and can get up and go, it's not that big of deal.. was just hoping there would be someone who'd be interested in meeting, perhaps forming a group, talking, that lived in the same city as me :)
naid isn't that active, and scene.org fourms for canada.. I'm not sure if anyone looks at heh
Cool to hear of a few canadians though :)

fuck sake, i'm taking computer programming analyst at school right now, and most people think I'm out of my tree because I enjoy things involved with the demo scene.
Oh well :( Sad for them.

I suppose I should pop by Montreal every so often just to chat with a few 'sceners.' Shit, now that I'm living back in Deadmonton it's only 3700 Km away instead of 4800 Km. That's walking distance, complete with four whole cities in between!
xtent: try posting on local computer related forums about digital real time computer art. should get you some replys from sceners and sceners who dont even know they are sceners yet.

thom:
blaming lack of scene activity on the distance is for people with no self-motivation.
we all have work or school. ofcourse its not a once every weekend activity to travel far but properly planned to fit the right holidays it could very easily happen. if you say you dont have the money or dont really want to go there i could accept but blaming it on time and distance im sorry but i find it to be another coughed up excuse.
added on the 2002-10-03 14:39:25 by psenough psenough
blaming the lack of activity on time is not a good idea. Many of us (myself included) travelled to parties for ~24 hours, and found it worthy.
Yes it happens once in a while, not every weekend, but it is not an impossible task.

Some people here seem to write things just to get people going.. what's the point of that?

Guess what ps: mommy and daddy don't pay for my schooling, so actually taking off a weekend of work is quite a blow to me.

aslo ps: I've looked for local fourms. I don't know what point you're trying to prove anyways? Well I do, but it's not even relevant to my thread..
It's just some sort of 'argue for the sake of trying to sound better' game.
(more in responce to your post thom than to mine.)
added on the 2002-10-03 16:15:54 by XteNt XteNt
lots of sceners dont have mommy and daddy paying for school and they still travel twice a year to demoparties.

btw, my point in all this is that oreos are better with milk.

it actually was to try and help ppl get together but somewhere once again it all went terribly wrong.

fuck why do i bother posting on public forums
