elend: there's a party in october in the south. in switzerland, but nearby the swiss border to austria afaik. only 3.5h from munich. check http://gc.t44.org

Naitandu: big parties like mekka are really cool, but small parties give you that special feeling to be a real part of it. IMO

funny that nobody mentioned berlin. you know. the capital of germany. where all the big things take part.

the last event here was the CH, c64-concentrated only, but anyway ..

In general it's true...
There are surely too less demo-parties in SOUTH germany so far. I would really like to seeing changing this...as I think there's no real reason for not having a chance to establish nice scene-parties in the southern part as well...

styx: yess! 0a000h was pretty cool and rocked!! :-)

If there would be a party in essen I would be willing to take part in the organization (and of course also visit it ;) ) but I personally would never want to be the main orga and have to find the location in a city I've really haven't been to for years. And as I am surely not the only one who might think that way it seems we have to wait until you can do it, Naitandu.

and, @Weasel: there are too less demo partys in whole germany in general. Just look at the population of Finland, Sweden or The Netherlands and then think about how many parties they have.

mizc: I also believe they have more sceners.
second, other countries seem to have less restrictive rules concerning such events. ever tried to get a school for a demoparty ? don't even bother asking, if you're not living in a very strange area in germany this will not work out. even any normal halls are damn hard to find. also overnight events are some kinda REAL problem in germany, at least if it's not a location like the Schleyer- or Westfalenhalle.

pro/styx: did I ever say there wouldn't be any reasons for germany having too few partys?
I had enough talks about those issues on partys I went to in the last two years to know about them all. And I think those are also the reasons for germany to suck so much.
Which would of course change if we really had a party in the Westfahlenhallen :)
Oh, and, as you said it: We do have those problems in whole germany, not only in the south.
But, anyway, let's all go to 0a000h this winter (hope I'll be there this time) and make a new party in essen next summer and we already have two more.
Oh, and, anyone knows if there will be a new radwar or a first demon anytime?
