as i haven't yet seen a demotool with proper gui yet, i do understand why someone would be ready to pay for one. it's not that much about the code anyway in these days.

Even God itself is a demotool... he made flowers... the japanese made origami flowers, we (you, the sceners) make digital flowers, japanese peoples likes digital flowers, I like japanese girls, and god likes me. This can only lead to: DUNGEON HORROR!
I don't even want to think about how much a decent demotool with a proper gui would cost realistically (if it was made for money-making purposes only).

Gloom makes an excellent point, since the authors of the mentioned demotools clearly made inferior demos with said tools -as opposed to those who use manual labour ...or something :)

Then again some people code synths nowadays. Also, the GOOD musicians actually know some of the background of the technology they're using (i.e. how does a compressor work, what's a waveshaper, etc.)
