Danger Hot Stuff CD
category: general [glöplog]
Dearz,
Make me right or wrong: the first commercially available demo collection on CD-ROM was "Danger Hot Stuff" in 1992. The second volume was released on TP92, but I don't know when the first was. AFAIK they precede the first Amiga demo collections, so they're the first demoscene CDs ever.
Do anyone have a copy of these? It would be nice to have their cover scanned for Freax Vol.2.

Well, anyone??
I do not.
Yeah, exactly! Thanks.
Umm, well, no, not exactly. This was published in 1994, as the label reads (under the UNICA logo). Hmm...
Maybe it was "Scene Storm" from Hybrid off DCandy (UK amiga BBS)... I think that was released in '94. There's also AGA Experience by the NFA lot, released around '94/'95 too... I have both of those around here somewhere...
It's possible that it's a re-release though.
yeah, noticed that too so you can either check your facts if you're not really sure bout 92, or probably this was some second drawing.
atleast try to check if manufacturers coincide, or some guys who have _seen_ it could have a look to prove or refute.

There was also Hot Sound & Vision done by the same company - it was the main thing that got me into the scene (at 12 years old, modem's were out of the question).
Wasn't there another thing by Walnut Creek (I'm not certain). I know that PC Power and PC Format definitely put demo's on cover CD's.

As for the tournament Roy Bolling finished in first place with 3 fish weighing16 lbs-10.5 oz. Rob Barth finished in second place with 3 fish weighing 14 lbs - 9.5 oz.
BASS!
Very good.
The announcement of "Danger! Hot Stuff" CD #2 is mentioned in an early issue of Imphobia, maybe in #5, which was released early 1993. So if this one is really it, it must be some kind of second edition.
