It's yule, this means that the sun will soon come back in our lifes and warm us all whilest shining its birhgt life giving light on the world.
Family traditions can be such a pain in the arse, i think most of us have some experience, be it xmas, be it something else, that just happens every now and then, and that youd rather be free of.
PS, here's an idea. You are a grown man, tell them that youre simply not interrested as it goes against you belief (insert relegion , or philosophic craft at random here). Works always.
I went to the church with my grandad (just got back in), and it was really beutyful. The priest had a speech about being kind to eachother, told in a language down to earth and with conviction. It was actually really great. The music is not really my thing but in the context it was good, and it was nice to sing with the others. All in all a really good experience :)

I would hate xmas to if I:
* Hated my family.
* Lived alone.
* Was unemployeed (meaning: always free of work)
* Had no old friends to meet up with xmas day (or a day later) that nowadays lives far away.
Personally I've never managed to spot them all, and prolly never will. But it's nice to know who you are, so we can hit the weak spots when in troll mode.
