It’s quite clear now that this site has been commandeered by lamers. These are the kind of people that fill threads with flippant and witless remarks, and post tasteless pictures into scene-related discussions, simply because this is the only way they’ll ever get noticed.

I think we have also established that most of these pitiful nobodies have never participated in a scene production, nor do they have any distinguishable talents. And yet, these same people have the audacity to condemn and criticise the hard work of others. It really irritates me when I see genuinely skilled coders, artists and musicians feeling demoralised and unmotivated because some attention-seeking upstarts have flamed their latest production.

Perhaps this site should be more selective, have stricter rules of conduct, or, as mentioned on a previous thread, maybe all users should have links to their productions, so we can filter out (or just ignore) the unworthy element. That is, of course, if Pouet still considers itself a scene site.

Rate productions, rate logos, now rate users...? I guess rating comments is next, then avatars, then spelling, then grammar, etc.. At this rate noone will have time watch/make/criticize demos.

And I guess several a thumb down too. Only take care not to move me near zero with half thumbs up and half thumbs down, but either in two directions. Most beloved or most hated pouet users would work both for getting me some more fame, but not 0 I guess ;)
