What's your preferred GBA flash cartridge?
category: general [glöplog]
OK, all you GBA coders out there ... what's your preferred flash solution for running your demos on the native hardware?
I tried to purchase the X-ROM 512 Mb flash cartridge from easybuy, but its qausi-permanently out of stock, so now I'm shopping around again.
Any recommendations?

I'm quite happy with my EFA 256Mb...
the XG brand is cheap, has pretty bad software, but works. F2A is somewhat sexier, and has a console version (unofficial).
Most GBA flashers have crap software :P

I've got ezfa II 256M and it's worked really well for me
i use xport with whopping 32 Mbits flash :) great for development (it's only cart with autoreset) but not really for gaming...
but judging from my languageskills I'm not to be trusted
Gabba flash?
ez-cart 128 (external linker) works nicely for me. decent sw also.
I've got an EZ-Flash II Advance, works great both for GBA and DS (flashed or with passme).
f2a ultra is bloody crap (for ds stuff anyway)
Legalize, I got X-ROM 512Mb ... and well, it does its job but I'm not sure if I'd recommend it. Flashing is somehow always a big hassle. And you need a GBA for flashing, too (don't own one, I use it just for DS). But at least it's cheap compared to other flash cards.
http://www.gameboy-advance.net/ has pretty good comparison on different flash cards.
Right now I'm looking at purchasing M3, even if it's salty with price, having a possibility to use SD or CF memorycards and all the nice addons like movie and mp3 playback, it might just be worth it.

I had an EFA Linker, and I bought it from these awesome guys:

I had an XG1 before, and it was pure shit.

I also have the flash2advance, it's old, and the parport thing for it isn't that great, but it's worked with various loaders on various os's.
Basically, I'd take whatever they've got in stock at a reasonable price. Got mine from Lik-Sang back in the day.

SuperCard. big advantage it's cheap and you can insert regular SD-cards, so no long flashing time, just pop into your usb2.0 memory card reader and copy!
works for GBA and DS

I'm no coder, but I bought a Flash2Advance 256Mb (USB) from Success HK a few years ago and can't complain about it, works fine!
I just found a really cheap EZ-Flash II PowerStar 512M.. 200SEK.. has anyone gotten this piece of this working? I seem to be able to write stuff to it but I can't boot anything because it prompts me for a password. Any ideas?
piece of shit
