Console / handheld Diskmags?

category: general [glöplog]
Since I'm working on one, I'm researching for other console / handheld Diskmags, but the only thing I find are the two "Consol(e) xxx" mags for the SNES / Famicom. As well as many ascii txt mags which aren't really Diskmags but information about new Warez releases.

Is it right that there are only these two (and gp2brew) which were every released on the real hardware?

I remember thiat also that also the SEGA Genesis (or Megadrive,in Europe) had some (at least 1) diskmags.

Anyone can find them?

does "Console xxx" include "Console World"? if not, have a look at the bottom of this page:

Actually it's the other way: The Mega Drive is known as Genesis only in North America. But I haven't heard from a diskmag for that console, I only knew the SNES-mags from censor.
well fuckings to portable diskmag scene then
time for a psp diskmag, even if I have to (drunkenly) write every article myself

Isn't the point of a diskmag to disseminate information rather than to force people to adopt archaic mediums in order to digest them?
Our group sliders, it is developing the magazine Exilium to the console psone of Sony by means of the cable skywalker and cdrom. Also this carrying the magazine to gba of nintendo by means of the cable xboo and cassette. For more information:

Of this form we will achieve a major multiplatform, and will leave the development in PC.

cartridge console release charts have been around as textfiles mostly.

Patrick: You may be right, but when it comes to consoles there are often some other rules. There's no real point in making diskmags for consoles. Wait, there actually is one - people go crazy because someone did a diskmag for their beloved machine. And you could make a nice collection of (maybe previously released) texts about a particular machine for it.

So asking for the sense of diskmags on consoles is like asking for the sense of demos in general - no one gets a valueable piece of software with it. ;)
sliders, you should rather work on the sub-average content.

someone write a portable (code-wise) magazine reader? It would be nice to unite the handheld/console scenes a bit (gba, gp32/gp2x, psp, ps2, xbox etc)

Reptile / AI wanted to port Pain to the PSP i think, dunno how far he got with it. I myself would love to see a PocketPC port.

Download GP2Brew for older or Blu+ GP32's, we'll release for the GP2X when it arrives and Fenix is ported over

Er... not the same thing, now is it? :)

freeze: Information about 'warez'!? Well, I feel sorry for you if you don't call that disk mags, but I guess you're missing the point here. These 'so called' informations can be categorized as disk mags too, also if they may not fit into your political image of correctness. Some views here are really headbanging.

My bad. Of course you're right, that those are Diskmags as well.

But somehow I don't collect it to the mags worth reading for me, that's the point why I said that in first place.
