i've always wanted a map site for north american sceners, since they exist but can't seem to find each other. so, yeah.. maybe i'll start one. :)

i'm guessing they licensed the whole system from google for a pretty penny..

ok ehhhh why per platform?
for c64 it sortof makes sense, since their the only ones who don't actually smell one another and as such hang around with each other only.

but, well, didn't most other platforms sortof merge into one scene lately? or at least pc/console/mac/newstuff, but also amiga if you ask me (breakpoint anyone?)

i like the idea though. someone (not me) make a "demoscene" map.

Just because the Amiga scenes biggest event is also the PC scenes biggest event doesn't mean the two scenes are the same... I don't watch many PC demos or intros, read PC diskmags, or take part in the PC scene at all really.

Also, I'm not really interested in a general scener map, the Amiga one is enough for me ;-)

I didn't mean to imply superiority, i'm just not interested in PC demos. I don't feel like i'm part of the PC scene, like i'm sure a lot of PC sceners don't feel like their part of the Amiga scene, or C64 scene or whatever.

I'd quite like an "all scenes" map, if you could filter by criteria, like platforms, party attendance, groups etc. but as thats not possible, i prefer the idea of a map per platform.

I think know exactly what you were implying by the italicised special. I interpreted it to mean that in your opinion, Amiga sceners consider themselves special as in superior, but you consider them special as in retarded. But maybe you didn't and thats just my Amiga Persecution Complex kicking in... eh?
