Why not UK in Soccer?

category: general [glöplog]

Sven Goran Ericcson will be saked, I wonder who will take over. Will England ever make any succes again a'la 1966?. Probably not!
Anyway my question is, why does England, Scotland, Wales and NI have separated national teams in Soccer? In all other sports they are under UK-flag.

What I don't understand is why anyone likes football at all. Seems rather gay to me to want to watch men running around in shorts.

It might also be that while Football is englands "national sport" so to speak, in Wales it would be rugby.

In scotland it would be... errr.... caber tossing.

dwangi: It's actually called football. Do your lessons first before asking, especially when it comes to "the home of football". ;)
i don't think they will give sven the boot, it would boot them out of all major cups. let's just face it, england sucks.

Acidbrain: Exactly.

On the other hand, the only sport that England has that's not so freaking boring that you need to drink an entire pub in order to enjoy it is soccer.
Hi! The only football I like is Nintendo's World Cup for NES, and Sensi.
