I have nothing against the Mac scene. I wish the competition many entries and much success, genuinely. I am just extremely bored right now. I apologise if my post was interpreted as an insult to the Mac scene.

I am actually thinking that a Commodore PET demo compo would be genuinely pretty cool right now.

navis: for me, its because they're so nice to use, and they're generally well built machines. I use a pc at work and a mac at home, and find that there's lots i miss when i'm on the pc, and not much i miss when i'm on the mac.

navis: get a mac and you'll see ..

'too expensive' - well, my macs have cost me less than a pc of a similar spec. About half. True, I'm in a unique situation with the US Dollar being so weak and the prices being kept to US standards in the UK, not escalated (like the PC prices have been.)

And yes, I prefer them, and the devtools rock.

I think we had more Apple hardware at alt.party than non-apple hardware.

Navis, they're just an option you can go with. For me it's cheaper to go this way, so, bonus (:

Mac is cool because it has an iSTFU device, which provides its user with a nice c\~/ whenever the latter needs one.

Mac is better than windows. I know, cause i read it in a clue.

Sorry, I know it's common for Appleheads to accept pure bunk without something to back up the claims, but we don't all dance to that drum :)

Do what the rest of us do. Use one for a while. You'll find out the same the the rest of us find out: Mac is way better than PC. For some stuff. Pc is better for other stuff.

Mac is better for 95% of the stuff i do, so i'm giving up pc (at home at least). If pc is better for what you need, stick with that. Or keep both. It's only a tool :)

Just make a PowerPC democompo and join with those lonely Pegasos and AmyOS entries ;)

Psionice: I don't need to use one to know that they're pretty nicely built and nice to use -for some of us.

I do not dispute the theory that Macs are just plain nicer to use, but I do refuse to join the people in their reality distortion field with the illusion that Macs are cheaper. :)
