i was wondering what is next
on the one hand we have nice eyecandy demo's which are absolutely amazing!!
on the other hand we have games which are usually static worlds but without the demo eyecandy? just plain boring buildings etc
can anyone reccomend an 'interactive demo'
ie an eyecandy world with music which you can navigate around
like being in a building where the graphics and music changes as you navigate around into each room...
i was wondering if maybe this might be the next thing to come out?
or can someone tell me where i can find such a product?
i'm just starting out trying to do my first demo
i have a machinima/modelling/animation/.mod music background and really really want to navigate around and create such a world
is there any such thing as an interactive demo/eyecandy world
TIA for replies and advice

so YOU did those 400 remixes of the pink panther theme?! :)
oh, you might wanna take a look at Rez for Dreamcast or PS2
I think he will save the scene when he's done.
.kkrieger ;)
There're some games in pouet's db.
Btw. the ending scenes of fr08 are selected at random... Dunno if that counts.

demos with randomly chosen soundtracks that look good nonetheless.
shifter, how about intros with randomly generated soundtracks that sound good nonetheless. i mean we've all seen that winamp plugins just don't (and won't) manage to work on any soundtrack.
back to mathematics and physics. more.
skrebbel: self generating soundtracks would be cheeky because there's always some portion of (self induced) expectancy people can rely on. That's nowhere nearly as challenging. And why pull winamp plugins into the comparison? I stated *demos* :)
shifter, please do explain then the difference between a demo that looks good on any soundtrack and what a winamp visualisation plugin could possibly do, cause i may be missing your point.
Interaction?

the spectator is always stupid, so interaction only lessens the artistic quality.
computers are smart, so using automatas to generate audio and video is the perfect idea. this is what i've been aiming at for several years now...
