hi i'm quite new to this
i have created a 24frame fli file which is now an exe using fliexe
and i have a .mod called gizarave.xm
i want to play the exe animation and the .xm file together
can anyone help i have been told i need a batch file?

all i want to do is play a god damn .xm and an fli/exe anim together in 1 exe or a batch file?
and all i get back is crap about how its not a 'proper' intro
i dont care i just want an exe that will play my .xm together with my animation
when i have learnt to do a proper coded demo then its not bad for a start!!

Thats the thing. I don't think there is a program out there just combnies a flie anim and an xm module into an exe "just like that".

Maybe you could try buying a copy of Blitz Basic and combining your graphics and music in an Blitz Basic program.

richieb: my point is that you don't seem to understand what an "intro" means here. It doesn't mean an introduction to something you're doing, or introducing yourself, it means a demo, usually 64k or less, and usually containing programmed effects and some music. I'm not sure the files you added can even be called demos. If you can get them running with the xm, you'll have a kind-of demo (but not an intro unless you can make it very small), but don't expect to start winning awards with something like that :)

If people aren't helping much, i think its because nobody uses .fli animations anymore, there probably aren't any tools to do it. Your best bet is to use a demo tool or something similar perhaps.

i saw a .mod2exe self player once but cant remember where?

i guess i'll learn a programming language then?
i was gonna learn dark basic? but you say blitz basic?

C++ of course is the best but also the hardest programming language. All "basic" languages are meant to be easy to learn.

hey try fmod(www.fmod.org) best for playing mod xm mp3 ... playing. Also it has many free source codes. But yes you have to learn some programming. In my opinion try C first. Syntax is not important, learn the logic :P

(Dont try to do it in batch files beacuse in MS-DOS mode multitasking is not avaliable.)
