2nd reality vs. desert dream

I downloaded 2nd reality, but I do not manage to run it under Win XP. Any idea ? A soundblaster EMU does not help either.

i got dos on my laptop, it runs quite good there :)
well, about the discussion: i saw both demos only about 2000, so i have to view them from that distance. dd has all that synchro stuff going on, and imho better music. besides the boring intro, i think it's quite superior compared to 2nd reality. i always disliked the latter, but this might also be because i started out on amiga :)

I am quite amazed that there are demosceners around who realize that 2nd reality and Desert Dreams are _so_ similar.
Where have you been in the last 9 years? People have been discussing about this for ages... what about argueing about something more original? (like how much lator is lame or stuff like that).
And yes, DD is way better. Laxity is god.

Why did Smash Designs convert Second Reality instead of Desert Dream?
because they didn't know that second reality was probably the most famous demo rip ever done.
