We repeatedly told Henning and Hans, "det holder!" but they just won't listen. 🙉
So, by unpopular demand – they're back! But - on Friday night, they won't be in the back, but rather up front!
Expect silly kicks, stupid samples, pointless breaks, and preposterous mixing. If you're not convinced yet, listen to their 2023 set and you'll understand what we mean – DET HOLDER!

Henning & Hans spiller opp til dans!

faRk used to record music from Amiga games on a cassette player as a kid and quickly discovered Protracker and eventually Fasttracker 2 on PC - all which inspired his style of music.
He released an album 💿 a few years back as a result - and also made an animated short movie, ALSO inspired by said music and demoscene, Amiga memories, Pikselhjerte ❤️.
These days, he dabbles in modern Daws and the trusty M8 Tracker from Dirtywave for composing sweet chiptunes.
At Black Valley, he will DJ a varied blend of both old melodic demoscene classics mixed with modern tunes and remixes of old games, filling our lounge area with sweet nostalgia. Welcome!

Hackeriet has prepared a CTF for you guys at Black Valley! Real hacking, beginner-friendly challenges - your braaaains will be required. Whether you're new to CTFs or deep in the game, there might be one or more flags with your name on it!

Black Valley is made by a small group of people, all lending their time and expertise to putting together our lovely gathering. We ask that you are patient with us during the event, so we can best put our efforts into making everything awesome. And so that none of you get eaten.

Next week, we open the doors for Black Valley 2025. We'll play you beautiful tunes, show you wonderous sights, make you smile, make you excited and the one little, tiny thing you need to do is get a ticket. Don't have a ticket yet? We can give you one! In exchange for money. 💸

While the rest of Europe are frying and sweating like pigs(mmmmm pooork chooops), the traditional Norwegian summer has kicked in, motivating people to finish that planned prod while the rain is pouring outside.

Next weekend however, the rain will have stopped, the sun will say hello, and the temperature will be at comfortable 22 degrees and all will be ready for an awesome Black Valley.....

One of the things we pride ourselves on is our dedication to show all retro productions directly from legacy hardware. So in that spirit, we're doing a demoshow on Saturday entirely run on two adjacent console platforms. Which ones? Guess you're just gonna have to show up to find out! Thanks to Neon for facilitating this show.

Due to circumstances beyond their control, Paula has had to cancel their full band performance on short notice. Fortunately, Slumgud has agreed to spin some tunes in their place, and hopefully we can try again at a later date for the full band experience!

Black Valley is getting real close, and figuring out the finer points of getting to the venue is naturally top of mind. We've made a handy guide on our homepage that we hope answers most questions, linked below. Additional questions? Anything unclear? Join our Discord server and we'll help as best we can.

The weather forecast tells us it's gonna get warm this weekend. Like, *real* warm. 🌡️ ☀️
With this in mind, we suggest all attendees take precautions. That means - wear sunscreen. Stay in the shade, and stay hydrated. Bring a water bottle, and we'll make sure there is continuous access to water for all attendees. 🌊🌊🌊

Will there be gardenhose hydration station ?

We're busy building the event, and we can't wait to welcome the hordes later! We open the hall just before 1600 hours, but you can always arrive earlier and hang out on the grass or put up your tents. Let's go!

If real life got in the way, and you can't make it out to Computer Summer Camp of the Dead, don't despair! We'd still love to have your tunes, your pictures, your productions - in other words, we accept remote entries! So, make a nice thing, send it off to us and start making travel plans for the second weekend of July 2026. For more info on how go here!

Unfortunately, lug00ber has had to cancel his performance at Black Valley this Saturday. We wish him all the best and a speedy recovery. Luckily, we have a great replacement right in our own midst - Tommern, one half of Modulo One that wowed the crowds with a live performance for the ages here last year, and also a crew member this year - is stepping up!
