Hmm, interesting. Reddit is also a bit forward for www services. I am trying it, with a more rational profile, more suitable.

I just updated my blog, which never happened often. Bit awkward to paste it here, but anyway:

The last 15 years have convinced me of the value of self hosting a blog with open standards.
Walled gardens are a cancer, and the general dynamic of for profit platforms trying to become the place to be, only to close doors once they've reached critical mass, it at complete odds with what Internet used to be and with what I think it should be.
At best you have to pack your things and move every couple of years, at worst – well, I don't think we've even seen the worst of it yet – we had good case studies of what may happen when a megalomaniac billionaire decide they want to buy and destroy one of those like a spoiled kid breaking a toy the minute they get it.
So as I've said before, I'm done with social media and retreated to the stability of my blog.
