Normally, you'd say thank you AFTER an event like this.
But today, I'm breaking with tradition – because the "Morning Glory" show inspired me to do so.
What a beautiful transformation this scene has gone through.
Beyond the sheer number and quality of releases, Revision has become a cultural cornerstone of our scene. It’s a place that encourages us to learn, to teach, to grow, to heal – and to build a community, a world of our own, where we can take a step back from “the outside.”
Let’s be real for a second:
Even though we were always a bit more open-minded than other subcultures back in the day – we still had our fair share of misogyny, homophobia, and transphobia.
But look where we are now:
Brave people like Lynn – a true beacon of this scene for years – and all the young folks coming in from hackerspaces, the CCC and even the furry communities, have helped make the demoscene more inclusive, more colourful and diverse than we ever thought possible.
It’s a beautiful process.
Ongoing, fragile and worth protecting.
And that’s exactly what we’re doing(!).
The scene is many things – but dead?
Not even close.
Huge thanks to all you wonderful, courageous humans for making this yet again the best Revision ever.

Same here. I think I might have even applied for that at Revision although I'm unsure. Never felt like it hurt my pride. If anything I felt filled with joy to be part of it all back when I was still studying.

I think most demoparties are happy to take on new volunteers: there is a lot to do.
