Christmas demos
category: general [glöplog]
More an outreach than an actual demo, but almost.
Instead of buying a traditional advent candle, my team at work had a screen running all working hours, which gradually improved while burning down the candle. All procedural of course - we are the graphics team after all...
Started from a simplified version of my 4k framework, and then someone added/improved something daily, eventually bloating the .exe to 5 kb.
Since it's very much real time (as in dependent on the day and time of day) and also running portrait mode (it started out as a tall candle, and also just to be different) it doesn't make that much sense to link the .exe, but I can provide some snapshots:
Starting out with very basic setup
Improving visuals in the first week + marking the upcoming party
Stuff gets added in second week
Marking the ugly xmas sweater day (yeah, got inspired)
Final (snows once per hour)

Awesome idea, Psycho! I guess you and your collegues had a lot of fun! Merry Christmas!
