colour 14 - what's the big deal?

Reviving an old thread that includes some BBS interactions from my past self that I’m not particularly proud of, I’d like to share a recent update (even if it’s not directly demoscene-related).
Couloir 14, created by RR, Xbarr & myself, started as a long-term project several years before I even considered turning it into a demo. Fascinated by the sheer volume of conspiracy theories incubated by the internet and other media, I began gathering all sorts of documents including photos, sounds, music, and texts.
I also started collecting fake artifacts to fuel a vague conspiracy narrative, such as a rotten potato or a scan of my hand abruptly removed mid-scan.
Three years ago, with the rise of AI-generated images, I began experimenting with the limits (and limitations) of these new tools. I started by trying to mimic my own Instagram photos using MidJourney. Then, I discovered I could remix my own images into absurd blends—like combining a bunch of wires with a storage container. The weirdest creation from this series : A bizarre hybrid of my own face and the aforementioned rotten potato.
Two months ago, I was invited to a digital culture festival in my hometown and decided to create a sort of sequel to the project: what if we could explore the lost-and-found (fake) documents of Couloir 14? The result is a fully immersive, yet contemplative, experience in VR (compatible with any SteamVR headset).
I’ve uploaded the project to GitHub, so feel free to download the latest release and give it a try. If it doesn’t run (it’s not built with Unity, Unreal or even Godot…), I’d be happy to help troubleshoot. And of course feel free to comment, critique or whatever else you have to say! :)

I've been french for over almost a decade now and still have not received the official list of pouet prods that I need to thumb up because im french. I'm really disappointed. Bad and slow service. I don't recommend.
Oh, that's too bad. You became French during an election year. You list of French prods to thumb up on Pouet must had got lost during the transition from Holland to Macron 😬
