Potential for Berlin bus trip to Revision 2025
category: parties [glöplog]
Many sceners and scene enthusiasts are living in Berlin and its surroundings. Every year, however, when it's time to go to Revision, everybody is going on their own and many even end up staying at home because they can't manage to get affordable train tickets or the last seat in a car. With the organisational power of Computerkunst e. V. we now want to try and organise a bus trip from Berlin to next year's Revision, in case there is enough demand.
We've already gotten some reasonable offers from bus companies, but right now we just don't have a real indication of how many people would actually be interested in going on a trip like this. That's why I've started this thread, and I need your feedback.
Our pain point for the price to Saarbrücken and back would be up to 180 EUR. That would be a half-empty bus with about 30 people. The more participants, the lower the price, of course.
We are planning to start the trip on Friday at 7 am in Berlin Alexanderplatz. Depending on demand, there could be a sensible stopover on the A9 near Leipzig (possibly Schkeuditz - suggestions welcome). The trip takes around 10 hours including breaks so we would arrive approx. at 5 PM at the E-Werk. On Monday we would have to leave before the prizegiving ceremony at 10 AM so we'd be back in Berlin at 8 PM.
It's costly, it takes long... and yet it could be so much fun to travel with a group of other sceners! We might even have some compos and demoshows on the on-board media system. :)
So if you are interested, please give me or someone else from Computerkunst e. V. a sign, write in this thread, write me a PM on Discord or Facebook or simply send an email to bus@computerkunst.info. Your declaration is in no way binding. We just want to see the potential.
The deadline for your feedback is December 6th. If we get enough interest by then, we'll start from scratch and get down to the actual, serious organization, i.e. clarifying legal issues, booking, collecting money, etc.

Nice idea. There might even be potential use for people flying to/from Berlin.
