Revision 2024 - We Are Many - March 29th to April 1st 2024
category: parties [glöplog]
I did not "tout" any views. It's just you trying to see it so, in order to be offended.

Sorry to not see my favorite FEINGOLD offered in the infodesk this year, but I survived on normal buttplugpils
sorry to say that the brewery discontinued that kind of beer. so, it wasn't our decision to not offer it any more...
Out of mere interest: are you contractually obliged to sell only beer by said brewery?
Their logo is on the E-Werk's outer wall and all...

yes, we are.

Mad props to the wurst-wagon for having Erdinger!
Anyone got any idea when the photowall pics are made available?

I think it will be officially announced, I feel isn't going to be long tho.
Pro-tip Krill (& others) - there's a fantastic establishment named The Hop Shop in Saarbrucken city centre (central martket place) - tons of beers from around the world, which I'm a big fan for the last two years. Stock up and use party's Pisswaßer lager in emergency only :D
On the serious note - does Karlsberg have any other beers than lager?

It is germany. they do not know of other types.. :)
remember talking to the bartender at the hotel last year. he did not know what "stout" "ipa" or so was at all..

Nonsense. =)
Well since IPA tastes like bicycle parts marinated in lemon juice, I wouldn't know why a bartender would have to know much more about it than "avoid" and "we don't have this".
And as for "stout", that word (not the type of beer) is not so widely known in Germany. Everybody (TM) knows Guinness, though. Schwarzbiere are somewhat similar to stouts, but not quite the same. =)

Wiser words have never been spoken. All hail Bifat :-D

Hell (pale ale), Hefeweizen (wheat beer), Bock (that's your "stout"), Märzenbier, Zwickel/Kellerbier, Schwarzbier, Fastenbier ...
Types: we have them
We just don't name them after "over the Channel" naming conventions.
Also, Revision takes place in Saarland. Not exactly a region known for its variety of beer. They're closer to wine.
That Schwarzbiere I have gotten being in germany have more been like a dark lager..
however. I did my best to convert belgian beers into german beers.. and some of my mandatory Retard Beers to german beers aswell :)

It would do you no favour to down 10 half-liters of IPA on afternoon and evening - which was absolutely no problem with the default Karlsberg Pils at Revision. There are better ones, but not by a huge margin. You cannot run a demoparty of this size with hipster beers from which you get a sore stomach. In this regard Revision was just perfect.
Very true, bifat. Karlsberg Pils is a fine daily driver at a party, but it lacks a bit of character. =)
I know it's a bit short term announcement, but Revision-related, so hopefully no one minds me abusing this topic.
If you happen to be in Berlin, Germany, from 15:00 today we have a retrocomputer meeting in the IN-Berlin Makerspace (Lehrter str. 53, near the Hauptbahnhof), and from about 18:00-ish, we'll have a semi-spontaneous demoshow, where we'll look at the best entries from Revision.
Given the focus of the meeting, we'll start with Oldschool and Amiga stuff (some of the actual Revision compomachines will be there!), but we'll look at modern/PC stuff as well. Big screen and good audio, some desk space - if you bring a laptop, couch, etc is given, and hopefully some good company. Soft drinks, beer and snacks are available on location for a small fee.
berlinCreators e.V., as the organizer of the meeting accepts small donations, but it's not required, the entry is free.

Hi guys, do you know when the prepaid shirts will be sent, as mine wasn't available any more at the party, orga told me, it'll be sent by mail someday ?
photowall??
I'd be more than happy to chug down 10 halflitres of IPA in an afternoon at Revision, should they be available. I always liked my bicycle parts in lemon juice. Schwarzbier would also do fine. Don't agree that a Bock is close to a Stout (in either taste or colour) either.
Amigaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa
Did anyone mention the photowall?
Sorry to insist, but these pictures are precious to many of us. So, does anyone have insider info about the photowall? I can't find any official communication about it. Coming soon? lost forever?
@Soundy, they are coming soon, I had word through official Revision channels ;)
