I have a personal wax seal I got made once, I thought about putting it on my envelopes but wasn't sure how it'd fare. I also completely forgot to do it before mailing my cards, so oh well. Next year, maybe. 🙂

That was kind of the idea =). As far as I understand you're nowadays supposed to put waxed envelopes inside envelopes if you want them to have any chance of surviving..

I got my cards posted yesterday! And I received the first card today! It was so nice and totally made my day! <3
All five of mine on their way :)
Sent all the last cards to Europe yesterday. Last day to send cards to Europe so they make on time for Christmas would be tomorrow, according to Finnish post office. So not even close!

30% of cards received, and oddly enough I've gotten blank demoparty.berlin cards from two people.. =) Apologies, unless something weird happens, I'm unable to attend.
Also, this is the first time I've received a postcard as tracked priority mail. As in, have to show my ID at the post office to receive it.

All mine got sent last month, so they should be there or well on their way. Haven't received any yet, but they'll get here.
Maybe they really wanted to make sure it got there. 😄

That would be me... after the "lost" (but eventually recovered, half a year later!) card two years ago, I have defaulted to registered mail for foreign cards. Unfortunately there is no control over how the mail will be treated in the arriving country - if I post locally I have the option for proof of delivery with or without signature, but that option does not seem to exist for international letters, so they seem to default to requiring a signature.
Interestingly, a local card I sent (without proof of delivery) now seems to be stuck for over a week, or maybe the tracking is just broken...

Postal system is in a total chaos in december, so I'm not surprised.
60% of cards have arrived, plenty of really nice surprises, stickers and a kinetic card =)

Also, sorry to to my recipients in Finland and Norway if the card pickup got tedious and involved ID verification because I, too, fall into Saga's category of "better use Einschreiben this time because two cards got last year"

I've heard that my link has been a bit tricky to get right. A little tip: it's uppercase "i", not lowercase "L".

Next year maybe do a QR code; as long as it's at least 3cm square and has a bit of space around it, it'll read fine. Or use a URL shortener, like is.gd, so there's less to type and get wrong.
Though tbf to you, I once sent out links to a gift download link to a song on Bandcamp (Goldfish by Workbench Music) to all my targets that year across two exchanges--this was back when the exchange was Nectarine only--and I engraved it onto the bottom back of the card where it might've had contrast issues. (Everyone got their own link; iirc paying for that many gift links and sorting that out was a PITA. I should do it again! 😅)

The long URL was meant to be a little puzzle so it was intentional but yeah, maybe it's better to shorten the link next time.
