My brother and my best friend Andreas Gustafsson has passed away. I know he was very involved(mostly Genesis Project and Noice) in the demo-scene and I thought you should know he has passed. You can write message(light a candle) at his funeralpage if you want but i can't post links.

I will love him forever and he will be truly missed.

Oh, no. That's terrible to hear. :( He was a nice guy, and a prolific coder. I can't think of anyone who've made demos on so many different platforms. He will be sorely missed. R.I.P.

Unfortunately never met in person but I greatly enjoyed Sdw's productions and posts throughout the years.

Andreas, my demo-scene Friend... I've never had the chance to meet you in real life, but you've always supported me and Silly Venture whenever possible for over decade... It's always been my pleasure to send you prizes for winning competition entries, even though you never expected it. You were a very talented and at the same time very humble man. what sad news, his little prods inspired me to start oldskool coding a few years ago, was happy to have a couple email convos with him, may he rest in peace :'(

My sincerest condolences to all his friends and family.

As you all know Shadow was one of the best coders in our scene. I will always admire his ability to learn the ins and outs of whatever platform (often obscure 8-bit computers) he used to create his next demo.

I never got to meet him in person, although we exchanged a few emails and we managed to collaborate in the production of a small demo for MSX in 2008.

I'm very saddened by this unhappy news. May his great legacy always be remembered and his example of good work inspire many people now and in the future.

These are sad news indeed.

Friendly, humble, and prolific - the top 3 words that always came to mind when thinking of Andreas. Gutted to hear this news and condolences to family and friends. RIP.
