You don't need to be a scener for that. Most people are always happy to get constructive feedback. You don't have to make demos yourself to tell someone that you liked their work ;)
Slightly off topic but I've been trying to figure out the best way to reach you, I made an acapella cover of Kings of the Playground and then realised I probably should have got permission first. So before I go sharing it about I just wanted to reach out and say:
A: Kings of the Playground is one of my favourite demos of all time, but also my kids love it and ask for "the abc demo" (they're 2 and 4) all the time.
B: hey I made a cover of it and I hope that's OK , if not I'll take.it down.

Heh, well I'm no professional singer but I love trying to beatbox and acapella along to a lot of the old classics (I have a list of Amiga tracks I want to do a mile long...) - this was the first demo I really had a go at so put a bit more into the video than I've been doing too... thanks for being an inspiration!

Even before I actually started contributing to compos, i lived through this meme like order 10-ish times xD (and the first few times I indeed was a little worried…)
It´s not dead. It has change, became smaller but .... dead, no way. Facing 20 more years we can check if its finally dead or has simple transformed ;-)
I'm just dropping a line to say that I still like to come here, I still enjoy seeing it is still there, I still enjoy seeing new prods once in a while, I still enjoy checking some discussion once in a while. Less frequently than when I was younger but still. Thank you so much to the admins and users for keeping this going for all these years and hoping it will stay for long, personally I don't need it to change and would be sad if it disappeared. Maybe even one day I'll make a demo or something :)
