Deadline 2022 | 30.09. - 02.10. | Berlin, Germany

category: parties [glöplog]
INTENSE is the mobile planetarium of the Stiftung Planetarium Berlin. Driven by Evans & Sutherland Digistar 6 software, the 6-meter planetarium brings the universe to schools and festivals all over Berlin. Presenters from the INTENSE team provide insights into current findings about astronomy, humankind, nature and technology through interactive dialog with visitors.

Unfortunately, due to inclement weather, the dome cannot be set up as planned, but INTENSE team will be available Saturday with the planetarium’s computer system to give a behind the scenes look at how the planetarium functions and to share some of the planetarium’s programming outside the dome.

Deadline. Now with 300% more bass than needed on site! *deaf already and only feels the ground shaking*

(The party is really great otherwise so far. :D)

bass does not fuck up ears, it's the middle sounds that do that.

We actually have a loudness meter and check from time to time at various places in the hall. But please let us know if levels are way off somewhere.

Thanks for arranging the party! It appears that the version of my PC 4k intro "Demowall" on scene.org is not the final one I uploaded to Partymeister, it has an unnecessary debug thingy which slows it down by 5% or something. The final one is 3960 bytes. Dunno which one was actually run in the compo.

Wonder what the party looked like from the organizer's point of view? TRBL's same-day party photo delivery service has got you covered.

As always, this was such a wonderful and smooth party. Even though we couldn't have Zeigerkollektiv this year, Nuno's atmospheric music was a great addition to the party experience - great to see and hear the other talents that reside in ORWOhaus!

See you all next year!
This was a total blast. Thank you so much to the organisers for providing us with such a fun party. Yes, there was a metric shitload of bass... and I loved it!!

So, we're somehow recovered from the party :)
It was a total blast, thank you all for coming and bringing such awesome releases!

Some statistics:

  • we had around 180 people at the party during the weekend (including orgas)
  • we drove around 300km through berlin, before and after the party to get/bring equipment and people
  • we used around 700kWh of electricity over the weekend (including the pizza oven)
  • we had 119 entries across 14 compos (159 entries / 15 compos when counting Klemmbaustein)
  • around 13kg of epoxy was used to make the trophies

In the next days we will send out the trophies which were not picked up during the prizegiving and also the shirts.

The after party page will follow as well, but here are already some pictures and videos:

Send us your pictures/videos to contact@demoparty.berlin or post them here!

Lost and found:

  • light gray cap

...and finally - we already fixed the date for next years Deadline - so mark it in your calendar:

29th of September to 1st of October 2023
(same date as this year)

We hope you had as much fun attending as we did organizing and also hope to see you next year again, at ORWOHaus, Berlin!
