Tap Tap Tumbling 2 (Android game with old skool demo influence)
category: general [glöplog]
Hi,
My name is Dave and I have been into programming since watching the Moleman 2 Demoscene documentary on YouTube in 2013.
I am never going to be a genius programmer like some of you guys, with the 3d maths and the tiny file sizes, but I am happy to say that I work as a software developer these days, and I have tried to incorporate many old skool demo fx into my new free Android game Tap Tap Tumbling 2 (it's on the Play store).
Would love to hear some feedback!
Thanks,
Dave

Score 47 so I suppose I suck. Thumb for demo fx :)
Looks like a cool game, but I guess I'd need a bit more practice. Did you do all the animations yourself? They are quite cool
Thanks, yea the animations were one of the most painstaking bits, although there was a bit of copy and paste from the simpler tricks to the more advanced ones. My process was mostly splitting videos I found online into frames then tracing the frames into a sprite sheet. Rotoscoping, except I didn't create the source material!
