Missing category: Atari Lynx
category: parties [glöplog]
general category: Atari Lynx Intro/Demo is missing.
missing from where?
I thought we had it? https://www.pouet.net/prodlist.php?platform%5B%5D=Atari+Lynx&page=1
no, i think he is talking about compo types, like there is no separate Atari Lynx demo/intro category here
Right, talking about compo types.
Did any party have such a compo-type? AFAIK, the types here are meant to reflect what parties do, not just fill out every thinkable compo...
Silly Venture has it's unique category the last three years, with 2-3 entries each time participated.
But to be honest, there are quite a bit of things that are subdivided in the Sillyventure results. Some other categories are missing too, it could be too much of a hassle to add everything.
But can the "party owner" add it? At least (s)he should be the one to be allowed to set a category. Lynx is simply not A8.
but we have "handheld demo" instead?
i moved the 2 lynx demos to handheld demo which serves the purpose. there is a falcon demo/intro category existing and atari xl/xe demo. i moved the prods that were submitted to atari demo. i created jaguar demo and moved the 2 prods. as far as i can see this clears up things with no overlapping compos.
Yeah, for an Atari-party "handheld demo" sounds like it describes the compo well enough.
Having as few compo types as possible is a good thing, IMO. More compos makes it harder to pick the right one.

"handheld demo" seems right. At least for an Atari only party. ;-)
well, Atari categories look a bit messy and IMO should be reviewed.
That issue is not a problem in case of mixed party, but is visible on the e.g. SillyVenture, where a different platforms like consoles 2600/5200/7800/Lynx/Jaguar/VCS (a new one) and computers 8bit/16bit/32bit are thrown in the same bucket.
