I am now a professional programmer. Since I do not study any more, have no wife and no kids I would have plenty of time to invest in demo coding, yet I am not interested. I prefer playing Civilization IV - Beyond the Sword. As I stopped making Hugi in 2014 there is nothing left I do for the demoscene. So I say good-bye. I have always been more interested in the technical aspects of democoding, such as size optimizing. I am not an aesthetically inclined person and do not have the patience to work on a project for a long time until it looks good. I actually have a solid understanding of computer graphics but it is not my area of specialization. During my studies I focused on algorithms, logics and theoretical computer science. Now as a developer I am a specialist for algorithm design, code optimization and creative problem solving. In one of my past jobs I developed a mesh voxelizer along with a method that reads the data from an IFC file, thus allowing the import of complex 3D models. When I was making Hugi I was always doing it in the spirit of serving the scene. I hoped I have served the scene for long enough and that my altruism will lead me into Heaven.

Although the scene is based on binary stuff beeing a scener isn´t a 0/1 thing - you can always create a track, 256b or whatever release whenever you like to do so.

PC diskmags seems like a lost art.
